Devil's Ivy, also known as pothos plants, are considered to be the easiest houseplant to take care of. They're called Devil's Ivy because they're impossible to kill, but since they're easy to take care of and are undemanding, they are a great way to get started with caring for houseplants.

Although pothos plants are the easiest plants to grow, you'll still want to learn a few tricks and tips tp keep your plant happy and healthy. Follow this guide to learn about watering, lighting and more.

How much sunlight does a Pothos need?

These plants thrive in bright, indirect light, but they can tolerate medium to low indirect light, for example, a north facing window. This plant is not suited for direct sun, which will burn and brown its leaves. As long as your plant can look out a window, then you'll be perfectly fine!

How often should you water a Pothos?

Water your Pothos every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. While watering and the amount of sunlight is great to know, you should also know that when potting your plant, your pot should have a drainage hole. Drainage holes will make sure that excess water will drain making sure you don't overwater your plant. Some signs of overwatered plants include yellowing leaves and black stems, while underwatered plants will wilt.

What type of environment does a Pothos like?

These plants enjoy a wide variety of environments but one little tip to make them feel truly at home is to add humidity by using a spray bottle and gently spraying all over their leaves. Pothos plants also prefer to be between 65˚F-85˚F temperature range

Are Pothos poisonous?

Although Pothos are really easy to take care of, they are indeed poisonous if ingested. Though rarely fatal, it can cause irritation and vomiting. Pothos can also be irritating to cats and dogs if ingested but it would only make them very sick but will not kill them.

  2. As a certified plant killer, I've always been so afraid to get even a succulent because I'm sure I'll kill it. It feels like a real pet when you have to take care of it so often, but I still understand why people love them. This one looks really cool, but I still wouldn't trust myself.
