Why not The Nutcracker this December?

When December approaches, there is much to prepare in so little time. Deciding on what to see or do can be so troubling because almost every venue will have a holiday event planned. You can count on dance performances, holiday concerts, Candy cane Lanes galore and Christmas lights adorning everywhere!

A special once-a-year event that comes to life in December is The Nutcracker. This performance is a ballet show and live adaptation of the book, “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice.” The performance tells the tale of a young girl who dreams of a nutcracker prince and later faces off with a mouse king.

The Nutcracker has several productions across the county during December. Tickets are now on sale for two different productions of the ballet show in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Ballet Presents The Nutcracker will be held at The Dolby Theater in Hollywood from Dec. 21 to Dec. 26. Tickets start at $56 and range up to $138.

“NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet” will be held at The Wiltern in Koreatown on Dec. 17. The production will hold three showings on a single day at 4 p.m., 8 p.m. and midnight. Tickets start at $33 and range up to $133.

Both productions have amazing reviews from past years and do not disappoint! If you’re looking for a festive, classy and relaxing night out this Christmas, this is definitely something to consider. Be sure to purchase tickets soon as some nights are close to selling out.

  1. I've never heard of this but I will definitely check it out. I have never seen a live ballet performance before but I would like to see one. This will be a great place to check out during December.
